Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can breathe a sigh of relief in the legacy department--their status as American royalty remains untouched as a damaging tell-all book about the couple appears to have been killed.

A ghostwriter for longtime celeb bodyguard and former Brangelina staffer Mickey Brett, who allegedly shopped his story of working for the powerful duo, tells Rush & Molloy of the NY Daily News that "Mickey was definitely going to consider a book or TV deal if the offer was good enough," and "there's not going to be any book."

Moreso, powerful celeb attorney Marty Singer (and Brangelina legal eagle) says that Brett has nothing on the parents of six, calling him a "pathological liar."

It was rumored Brett was sitting on scandal after scandal involving the stars, alleged lesbian affairs and embarrassing details of Brad's bumbling courtship of edgy Jolie.

Brett's isn't the fairtytale employee either--he's been questioned in the murder investigation of a British entrepreneur, arrested for assault while on duty in Namibia for the birth of Brangie's first biological child Shiloh, and accused of racial slurs and intimidation of parents at an Indian school.
