Two questions underscore the theme in Monday's Dancing With The Stars episode: How far will The Bachelor castoff Melissa Rycroft's nimble steps take her in the eyes of a sympathetic voters?  And,  how many more injuries will mount in a season that has already turned the ballroom into a MASH unit?

Injuries knocked out Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell and singer Jewel before the competition even started, opening the door for Rycroft and The Girl Next Door's Holly Madison. Since last week's show, contestant Steve Wozniak (foot) and Steve-O (back) have also reported injuries. In past seasons, a laundry list of celebrity dancers, including Olympian Misty May-Treanor, actor Christian de la Fuente, and soap queen Susan Lucci have sustained injuries during practices, rehearsals or the actual live broadcast of the show.

Rycroft has rebounded both in the reality TV and love arenas after being spurned by The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick. Her transition to Dancing With The Stars has been smooth and met with enthusiasm. And Rycroft told US Weekly she has a new love, an insurance agent named Ty.

"We've been really good friends, but the timing was never right," Rycroft told the magazine. "With all this going on, he's my support system. It's funny how things happen."
