Scarlett to Join Iron Man 2 Cast

You thought it wasn’t possible. Scarlett Johansson is set to get even more tongues wagging.
The actress will play the role of Russian super-spy Black Widow in the Iron Man sequel, her publicist Marcel Pariseau confirmed on Wednesday.
The actress is “thrilled” to join an ensemble cast that also includes Mickey Rourke (Whiplash), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Don Cheadle (Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes).

Johansson assumed the role after Emily Blunt withdrew due to obligations for the film Gulliver's Travels, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The much-anticipated follow-up is due in theaters on May 7, 2010.
