Jessica Alba really will be invisible in the next Fantastic Four film. That's because, she won't be in it.
According to IESB.net, rumor has it 20th Century Fox will use four new actors as the leads in the next Fantastic Four flick. The reason? It seems the studio wants to take the franchise in an entirely new direction.
That means no more Jessica Alba as Sue Storm.
IESB reports that studio heads want the next film to be darker and edgier, a la Dark Knight and Watchmen, and that Tim Story will not be asked to return to the director’s chair. While commercially successful (2005’s Fantastic Four raked in over $330 million worldwide, with 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer earning $290 million), the film’s have been critically-panned, with fans voicing online complaints the movie deviated too much from the comic series.
