Lance Armstrong took to Twitter today, after getting behind the wheel for the first time since a nasty crash at the Castilla y Leon race in Spain left him with a broken collarbone. “Picking up my kids at school. First time I've driven a car since the spill. Scary,” he wrote this morning.

While the cycling star might still be skittish about driving a car, he’s hopeful that he can steer a bike come this summer. Armstrong uploaded some gory pics of his post-surgery incision to his Twitter account this weekend, but the ever-positive athlete says that despite the setback, he will still work toward competing in this year’s Tour de France. The race kicks off in July.
