Katie Holmes Opens Up, Spends Weekend in LA

The weekend before hitting the stands as this months Glamour cover girl, Katie Holmes spent a quiet weekend back in Los Angeles with her husband Tom Cruise and their kids, taking a break from the New York set of her next movie The Extra Man.

"They showed up for an early dinner at Il Sole in West Hollywood with Isabella in tow and were joined by John Lithgow and his wife," says a source. Though Holmes looked a bit tired during the meal, Cruise was his usual jovial self, and even "popped his head into the kitchen to shake hands with and thank the chef and kitchen crew."

The next day, Holmes took Suri for brunch at La Pain Quotidien. Suri took advantage of the occasion and wore a white princess dress complete with a tiara.

In the new issue of the fashion glossy, Holmes opens up to the rumors surrounding her marriage and life ("uncalled for and so disgusting") and mused about inviting those naysayers to dinner. Regardless, the actress is currently enjoying life (no, she's not pregnant) and "making movies, being a good mom and a good wife, and focusing on that."
