Inside Elizabeth Taylor's 77th Birthday

You can't keep a true dame down. Elizabeth Taylor may have just turned a whopping 77 years old, but the screen legend still managed to throw a fine gathering.
On Friday night, Taylor opened up her Bel Air home to a small group of friends and family for an intimate dinner party.
The event was "very plain and simple" a diner told Celebuzz. "She looked really happy. She will always love being social."
While Taylor ended the evening on the early side (the party broke up by 8 p.m.), the guests were happy to see that their friend was still "sharp as a tack".
Taylor clearly still knows how to draw a crowd. In December, she showed up at the Abbey in West Hollywood in a cowboy hat and boots, holding court with her friends from her wheelchair.
