Rich, in love, and gorgeous, Giselle Bundchen seems like a woman with everything she wants. In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, the model opens up about the bumps along the way to her happy ending and her desire to adopt a child from her native Brazil.

“I would like a big family. I love children,” she says.  “I would also love to adopt a child from Brazil. When you come from Sao Paulo, you see five-year-olds sniffing glue on the corner.. I will have a colorful family, like a rainbow.”

Currently, she does have one child in her life already: her stepson from husband Tom Brady’s ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. While she has yet to meet John’s mother, she sees him as one of her own. “I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day,” she revealed.

Her romance with Brady could have ended early on when two months in, Moynahan announced she was pregnant. “It was definitely a surprise for both of us,” she adits. “You question at times- ‘Should I stay here? Maybe you should work this out.’ But when people break up, it’s for a reason.”

As for that other high-profile man in her life? Bundchen also talked about her on-and-off former boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio: “Leo is a really wonderful person. We still speak sometimes, and I’m friends with his mom…We know what we had, we were very young, and we grew together in a lot of ways. We were just not meant to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but I respect him enormously, and I wish him nothing but the best.”
