Even though Lindsay Lohan has a warrant for her arrest for allegedly violating probation, a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that Lohan was simply changing her alcohol program.

“Lindsay simply wants to change her alcohol program, and notified the court that she was leaving [her current program],” says the source. “Lindsay’s intent is simply to change programs [rather than not attend them at all]“.

According to the source, the actress must currently attend the class once a week and she wants to change, “because it’s just not a good fit.”

Lohan’s legal team –headed by Shawn Holly Chapman -- has been in ongoing conversations with the LAPD, Beverly Hills Police Department, and the district attorney.

“There is a new judge in department 2 in Beverly Hills-Judge Revelle,” the source says. “There is tremendous confidence that the judge will recognize it’s not important for Lindsay to appear.”
