The family of Grammy award winning R & B artist, Donny Hathaway, best known for his 1973 hit, Where is the Love, is battling over royalty rights for the deceased singer.

In court papers obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, Donny's daughter, Donnita is suing her step-mother Eulaulah Hathaway, her two half sisters, Kenya (a backup singer in the American Idol house band) and Lalah and Universal Music for fraud by not giving her royalties from her father's expansive and impressive music library catalogue.

Donnita claims that her step-mother has denied her existence, and that she was not Donny's daughter. "Eulaulah falsely stated not only that Donnita is not Donny's daughter," and didn't tell Donny and Eulaulah's two daughters, Kenya and Lalah that they had another sister. However, A probate court has ruled that Donnita is one of Hathaway's heirs.

Donnita claims that she is entitled to 25% of earnings, and that is equally proportionate with what the three defandants currently get. Donnita is seeking more than $500k in damages and is demanding a jury trial.
