Dr. Drew On Phelps Bong Controversy

Dr. Drew Pinsky, host of the VH-1 reality show Sober House talks to RadarOnline.com about the Michael Phelps bong photo.
Dr. Drew told us: "The guy is a young man, marijuana is very common. Just because he is holding a bong doesn't mean he is a marijuana addict. I happen to believe that his DUI (more than 4 years ago), is a powerful indicator that there might well be a problem. The way pot is horticulturally cultivated these days, it clearly has a very powerful opioid effect and very hard to treat."

The bong photo was taken in Richland County, South Carolina and the sheriff there says he's investigating Phelps to determine if he should be charged with pot possession.
