Chris Brown Accused Of Battery & Rihanna Cancels Grammy Performance

UPDATE: 11:10PM Chris Brown is now inmate # 1796176. RadarOnline.com has the R&B star's police booking report from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Brown was booked at 7:41PM PST and is being held on 50-thousand dollars bail on felony battery charges.

UPDATE: 10:30PM Chris Brown has surrendered to the LAPD and is being questioned by police, an LAPD Spokesperson confirms to RadarOnline.com

Police are searching for Chris Brown after the R & B singer allegedly assaulted a woman... and his girlfriend Rihanna has canceled her performances at tonight's Grammy Awards.

A LAPD spokesperson tells RadarOnline.com that Brown is under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery. According to a police statement, Brown and the woman were in a vehicle around 12:30am on Sunday on North June street in Hancock Park area of Los Angeles when, according to the victim, they became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker. The LAPD received a 911 call reporting the disturbance. When officer arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene.

Police tell RadarOnline.com that the victim has visible injuries, making the charge felony battery.

Both Brown and Rihanna were scheduled to perform at the Grammys.

Both have canceled.

Earlier Saturday night Brown and Rihanna were at the Recording Academy and Clive Davis's Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills.
