Videogame sales soared in October, with Americans spending $1.31 billion on games, hardware, and add-ons.
Hardware sales were topped by Nintendo’s Wii, which sold more than all other systems moving 803,000 in October alone!
Xbox 360 sold 371,000 units and PS3 slummed with ‘just’ 190,000.
The best-selling game of the month was Fable II for Xbox 360.
“Obviously, the economic slowdown isn’t impacting this market,” an industry observer told Radar. “Unlike just about every other industry on the planet, we’re anticipating a great holiday season.”
