Just a week after opening, American Buffalo has closed the curtain for good on Broadway.
The show marked a high-profile thespian turn for Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), as well as his costars Cedric the Entertainer and John Leguizamo.
“The reviews weren’t good,” a Broadway insider told Radar, “but I don’t think that alone killed them. Audiences will usually turn out for star power. Not this time. I think the economy is to blame as much as the critical pans.”
