PLAME RISING Val
The CIA's new "whatever" attitude seems to be working for Valerie Plame.
Her new tome, Fair Game, details her career in the CIA and her long ordeal after top administration officials revealed her identity to several reporters. As the book came together, a battle ensued with the CIA's Publications Review Board, which promised to redact any description of Plame's assignments, any identifying details about the countries she operated in, her co-workers' IDs, or her specific tasks. In fact, the agency's heavy use of White Out was the subject of an unsuccessful suit by Plame against her former employer, in which she claimed much of the information she was trying to publish was already on her Wikipedia page.
