Bushnell 'Probably' Not the Best Spokesperson

NATURALLY SMOOTH Bushnell How much does Candace Bushnell dig cosmetic enhancements? So much she's willing to vouch for ones she's never even tried—for the right price, of course.

On Thursday, the Sex and the City author hosted a lunch for more than 30 women's magazine beauty editors at Michael's, the Manhattan media-industry lunch joint. The purpose of the gathering was to introduce guests to Radiesse, an injected dermal filler that smooths out wrinkles.

Bushnell, a thin and youngish-looking 48-year-old who's done as much as anyone to feed the average woman's preoccupation with appearance, might seem to be the ideal spokeswoman for a new cosmeceutical. According to one attendee, though, she was upfront about never actually having tried Radiesse. "She said she's used other fillers, but she might switch to this one because it's supposed to last a year, while the other ones only last three months," says the witness.
