When Nicolas Sarkozy was France's minister of interior, he burnished his law-and-order credentials in part by aggressively prosecuting cop-bashing French rappers. Now it turns out that Sarko's own son has himself become a player in the hard-core rap game. Twenty-two-year-old Pierre Sarkozy (rap handle: "Mosey") is a hip-hop producer, consorting with the rhyme-slingers his father targeted and producing tracks for very profane French rapper Poison.

Young Pierre's MySpace page informs that "with my crew: da Crime Chantilly we produced hip hop, soul and rnb beatz" and lists their influences as "all the music dat comes from the bottom of the soul." The elder Sarkozy has not responded to press inquiries on the revelation, possibly because he's either too embarrassed or too wrapped up in doing the Pepe LePew thing with his new supermodel fiancée.

Altogether, it's a pretty awesome situation, mostly because it's almost exactly like what happened to the smarmy, rapper-hating politician in the Chris Rock masterpiece CB4 (NSFW!). Pour one out for the late Phil Hartman everyone—mourn ya till we join ya.
