With the Iowa caucus just hours away, Ron Paul made his final pitch this afternoon to Iowans stuffed into a Des Moines University auditorium. And except for the brief, post-event skirmish when the chubby dude wearing a superhero cape chastised the guy in a chimp suit for being a racist and distracting people from the Ron Paul message, it was a fairly conventional campaign rally.

Paul focused much of his remarks on health care, but found plenty of time for shout-outs to his familiar, Internet-approved positions on freedom, withdrawing U.S. troops from foreign countries, and reforming our monetary policy. For which he was awarded his usual raucous applause.
