Rambo, Reporting Live from Myanmar

When Myanmar's oppressive junta kicked the press to the curb and quashed the monks' rebellion this past week, shutting off the already isolated nation from Internet access, there was only one thing left to do: Send in Rambo.
Just over a week ago, Sly Stallone was on the Thai-Burmese border filming John Rambo on the Salween River separating the two nations, and has <a href="http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23414634-details/Burma%3A+Stallone+speaks+out+after+Rambo+crew+witness+%27hell+beyond+your+wildest+dreams%27/article.do
" target="_blank">told reporters that the area is "a hellhole beyond your wildest dreams," saying that among the refugees from Myanmar, he saw, "the aftermath—survivors with legs cut off and all kinds of land mine injuries, maggot-infested wounds, and ears cut off."
In other words, local crew members will work their asses off in exchange for a few John Rambo promo tees and some year-old protein pudding.
Critics of the movie, which features Rambo avenging atrocities in Burma, have said that the producers are exploiting the troubled nation for the sake of a slick and bloody action film. For his part, Stallone thinks John Rambo will help shed some light on the devastation that has hit the nation.
The movie, which is out in January 2008, will allegedly feature footage showing the refugees' daily nightmares, and Stallone thinks the more graphic images should be kept in. "This is full scale genocide. I want the violence in there because it is reality. It would be a whitewashing not to show what's over there."
Stallone is rumored to have whispered threateningly toward the end of the interview: "Darfur ... I'm comin' for you."
