City Yanks Anti-Groping Campaign

Good news for New York City frotteurs: They're free to continue their rubbing and groping without being stigmatized by finger-wagging public service ads. This morning's New York Post reports that NYC Transit has been "sitting on" a campaign "to combat deviants who grope or molest women on the subway" out of fear that it may actually encourage such behavior. A similar campaign in Boston (example above) resulted in double the number of rubbing reports in that city, although Massachusetts transit officials claim the rise is merely a function of greater awareness that someone grinding up against you until he busts a nut is unacceptable.

While New York's transit authorities had gone so far as to create mock-ups for the campaign, none of them were ever printed, and the ads are currently in limbo. Some of the unused slogans:
