More Evidence That Non-Boozers Lose

We love vague scientific stats, especially when they support our drinking habits! A recently released Danish study suggests that drinkers who exercise for at least three hours a week may live longer than smug yet weak non-drinkers who don't hit the gym at all. According to the evidence gathered over several decades,"at all exercise levels non-drinkers were worse off—at 30 percent to 31 percent higher risk of heart disease compared with moderate drinkers." But just when we were getting excited about the possibilities of binge drinking after our next spinning class, the inevitable, thud-like definition of "moderate drinking" came calling. That's around a glass a day of wine, which is thought to reduce bad cholesterol in your blood. Anything more and the benefits might be moot. Ugh.
