With just a week to go before the Iowa caucus, it's being reported that Mike Huckabee may have jeopardized his standing with Catholic voters over the weekend by hanging out with a Pope-hating televangelist. But the universe of people offended by Reverend John Hagee goes beyond just the world's biggest Christian church. The mega-church millionaire has courted controversy in the past by scheduling a mock "slave auction" fundraiser at his church, by suggesting that New Orleans was devastated by Hurricane Katrina because the city "had a level of sin that was offensive to God," and by proposing that a nuclear attack of Iran is a prerequisite for the return of Jesus Christ. Speaking at Hagee's ministry in San Antonio, Huckabee continued to charm us all with his characteristic wit and humor, calling Hagee "one of the great Christian leaders of our nation."
