Michael Jackson Won't Tour, But Will Continue To Be Strange

Over the years, Michael Jackson has disappointed the public in a variety of ways. Maybe "disappointed" isn't the right word? Hey, remember when he dangled his baby out a window? Oh, and then there were those court appearances. Okay, so by comparison today's news pales: he's refusing to participate in a reunion of his family's famous singing group.

A day after his older brother Jermaine said that the pop legend was joining them, Michael said, "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we've certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them."

Translation: Hey Jermaine, I don't think so.

Michael's decision seems to be part of an ongoing trend of distancing himself from his family. In September he was a no-show in Los Angeles to collect a lifetime achievement award with his brothers.

However, Jackson simply claims that he was busy working on "new and exciting projects." (Sure, you can feel free to insert your own joke here.)

Regardless, Jermaine seemed confident that the family would be united for the Motown tour next year.

"It is going to be more like a family affair," he was quoted as saying by the Australian Associated Press "Janet's going to open and, of course, the original Jackson 5... Michael, Randy and the whole family. We're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year."
