• Book 'em: Kimberly Osorio, you just won a reported $14.5 million settlement against the Source: What are you gonna do now? "I haven't had the chance to seal everything up and think of my next move, but there's a possibility of a book," Osorio told the Daily News.

• Minor threat: An envelope containing a white powdery substance sent to the editor of the Los Angeles Times has turned out to be harmless. The stunt—which called to mind the still-unsolved 2001 anthrax attacks on media companies—forced the Times staff to evacuate the office. No word on whether or not New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof knows the name of the sender.

• Walking the plank: Congratulations to New Republic editor Franklin Foer on his first firing! Regrets to Spencer Ackerman for being, well, fired over his blog, Too Hot for TNR, whose title could include pretty much anything racier than PG-13. The New York Observer reports on numerous ideological and editorial clashes between Foer and Ackerman, including a maybe-joking offer by Ackerman to "make a niche in your skull" with a baseball bat and a proclamation by Ackerman that he'd "skullfuck" the corpse of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to prove he was anti-terror.
