And now, thanks to Universal Music, Robin Hood himself will be drilling your eardrums with his new "rock 'n' roll" album. Costner, showed up Wednesday night at the Tribeca Grand to pimp his latest political turd, Swing Vote, and was overheard telling reporters, "I started writing music again with some guys two-and-a-half years ago, and we've been playing around the country and overseas. Universal heard it again and again and here we are. We write original stuff and they liked it, so here we are. I'd say its rock 'n' roll, but it's rooted in my country roots; the way I grew up. Modern West is the name." Is it now?
And what, pray tell, will Mr. Costner do should his music career go the way of his film career? Why, start a nature show, naturally: "I'm kind of a participant in nature. I'm not an observer, or sightseer. I go outside and think, What can we do? Can we flip this rock over? I've always been a hunter gatherer."
But there's more! Think Waterworld meets The Real World.
