The John McCain-Sarah Palin Rumor

STUCK TOGETHER McCain, Palin In the first presidential campaign to be fully fueled by Internet rumors, it was only natural that the bullshit stories about Barack Obama preparing to dump Joe Biden from the Democratic ticket would be followed up with bullshit stories about John McCain preparing to dump Sarah Palin from the Republican ticket. The story goes that after the Alaska governor's disastrous string of recent interviews, and what with Thursday's veep debate giving the McCain team such worries that they've shuffled their staff to shore her up, Palin will be made to "realize" that her duties as a mother are too time-consuming for her to fulfill her duties as vice president, so she'll step aside, probably for Mitt Romney, who will bring his pretty head for business to the ticket during these trying economic times.
