BRUSH WASHED UP? Jennifer Aniston
Were the critics who accused Jennifer Aniston of selling out the environment for a fat endorsement check being too harsh?
It turns out the actress best known for playing Rachel Green has a green streak of her own.
"I take a three-minute shower," the new face of Smartwater tells Elizabeth Rogers and Thomas Kostigen, authors of The Green Book, a how-to guide filled with celebrities' advice for would-be environmentalists. (Cameron Diaz wrote the foreword.)
"I even brush wash—brush my teeth while I shower. Every two minutes in the shower uses as much water as a person in Africa uses for everything in their life for a whole day!"
Aniston's evident good intentions almost make us forget about all the water that's wasted in the manufacture of plastic bottles like the ones Smartwater comes in. As for the efficiency of the "brush wash" versus brushing one's teeth over the sink—well, we'll leave that one to the experts. Dentists: Go.
