NEED A RECEIPT? Dennis

It's taken a little longer than expected, but the sale of Dennis Publishing is just about complete, and the outcome won't surprise anyone who's been paying attention.

Sources say former Wenner Media executive Kent Brownridge, with backing from Quadrangle Partners, has indeed secured a deal to buy the company, home to Maxim, Stuff, and Blender magazines. An announcement could come as soon as tomorrow, with details being finalized in the next week or so.

As for our earlier rundown of rumors about the sale, it sounds like the talk of Maxim editor Jimmy Jellinek getting replaced is more than mere speculation. Additional sources have since confirmed to RadarOnline.com that Brownridge has been quietly shopping the job. (Brownridge, reached in his office at Quadrangle, declined to comment.)
