THE HOYA TRUTH Oscar
Funny thing happen on the way to an Oscar De La Hoya scoop at the New York Daily News. The pole-dancing protagonist who was slated to confirm the veracity of pics featuring De La Hoya in boxing gloves, fishnets, a wig, and high heels has begun to back that ass up.
"I cannot personally verify the authenticity of the images," Scores ex-peeler Milana Dravnel tells the paper of the shots first posted at photo agency X17's blog and later shot down by us. On Thursday, the paper quoted Gotham magazine's R. Couri Hay as saying, "She says she took the photos at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia on May 17 ... I fully believe she is telling the truth. She had been reluctant to talk. But now that she's being called a liar, she's ready to sell her story. And, believe me, she has a lot of details."
Like that part about how she suddenly can't account for the pictures' whereabouts for a large chunk of time and how, well, she guesses she's sorry. An interview with her is slated to run on Entertainment Tonight tonight, but she tells the News today: "Many quotes that were attributed to me in the media are false and inaccurate, as were some statements I made on Entertainment Tonight."
Also, when she said she loved you at Scores just before snatching that crisp one dollar bill from your fingers with her teeth, that wasn't exactly true either.
