ETHICS ON THE FLY FNC

We know how some of Fox News Channel's brighter bulbs feel about the accuser in the Duke rape case: Sean Hannity has described her a "passed out drunk" of "dubious credibility." But he's never called her by name, because Fox—like most news organizations—has a policy of declining to name the accusers in rape cases.

Until now.

Foxnews.com, where the "WAR ON TERROR" is just a click away, has posted the most recent defense filing in the case this afternoon, which reveals that the accuser had DNA from several men on her body and in her underwear. It also reveals the accuser's name, unredacted.

The Charlotte News & Observer also posted the filing on its website, too, but took the time to black out the accuser's name.

Ken LaCorte, the vice president and senior executive producer of Foxnews.com, said the disclosure "was unintentional and is being corrected." As of 7 p.m. EST, the unredacted filing was still available on the site.

Tick ... tick ... tick ...

UPDATE: At 7:25 p.m. EST, several hours, and who knows how many downloads later, Fox News took down its link to the document.
