Fashion Week Zoe-Watch

A WRINKLE IN TIME Zoe It's Friday, the final day of New York Fashion Week, and the Tents are starting to look a little scrappy. The fashionistas have scored all the comped merchandise they can carry and gulped down a landfill's worth of free Evian and hundreds of crates of vodka. Sure, the Marc Jacobs' show, which is all anyone cares about anyway, doesn't kick off till tonight, but that isn't stopping insiders from looking back at the week that was.
As it turned out, style scribes didn't get their chance to eviscerate Rachel Zoe after the Halston show on Monday. When Zoe was a no-show backstage and in the front row, gossip swirled that she'd been fired from the label. Instead, Raisin Face remains on the board of the brand, but had no creative input on the collection. Given the fact that she appeared to say yes to every other designer who invited her (popping up at Bill Blass, Marc by Marc, and Oscar de la Renta, among others), her absence at Halston seemed pretty fishy. To clear things up, Halston PR told reporters, icily, "She wasn't involved in any aspect of this collection."
Zoe sat with the Elle crowd at the Bill Blass show on Thursday, where she chatted Nina Garcia's ear off while wearing what appeared to be a large Pomeranian dog as a coat. So at least she's still in favor somewhere. Look for her tonight at Jacobs' show, where she'll no doubt be wearing some other form of puppy!
