FACEPLANT Hangover man

It's office Christmas party season, which means, if you're anything like us, that you've had a hangover since Thanksgiving! But while you hunker down at your keyboard, trying to manage the shakes with black coffee and bagels, spare a moment for John Scammell, a Managing Editor at Britain's morning chat show, GMTV, who's been banned from attending company Christmas parties and been given a curfew by his bosses after falling into a drunken stupor at his computer.

Scammell, 46, staggered back to the office after a boozy holiday lunch this week and fell asleep at his keyboard, as you do. News staffers gathered round to gawk at their drunk boss and "some of them even started singing the song 'Ring My Bell'" after a call to his cell phone failed to rouse him from his alcohol-induced nap. Insiders at the show have said that Scammell is frequently drunk on the job and that, in the future, his bosses have advised him that he must return to his desk before downing his third martini! Top brass at GMTV are also said to be "monitoring his behavior."
