TOUCHING Italian Vogue
• Give yourself a hand: Just when you thought Time magazine's "You" person of the year cover couldn't get any more play, Italian Vogue comes out with its own version of the cliché. The January 2007 cover, photographed by Steven Meisel, features model Sasha Pivovarova staring back at you from a computer screen and a polished hand reaching out to her. Meisel, he's just so au courant.
• She loves them paisleys: Fashion heiress Margarita Missoni's wardrobe is examined in detail by the Socialite Rank blog, proving once again that tree-hugging flower children never really go out of style.
• Autopsy reveals patient already dead: Reuters reports that Gap's demise "stems from uninspired clothes." Even the skinny black pants, blasphemously advertised by the deceased Audrey Hepburn, ended up on the discount rack for $9.99.
