Cheating? For Law, It's Method Acting

JUDE-ISTS Law with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet Foppish nanny-thumping actor Jude Law announced Friday that he is producing and starring in a new film, Sleuth, which will begin production this month in London. While the paparazzi waits in ambush for snaps of the vest-clad thesp roaming Notting Hill with his not-girlfriend Sienna Miller, Law will be doing what he does best: playing a cad.

Sleuth, "A dramatic and thrilling study of sexual conflict, jealousy, power, and manipulation handled with both lacerating wit and humor," stars Michael Caine as a writer cuckolded by Law's character. The Kenneth Branagh-directed, Harold Pinter-scripted film is likely to garner its fair share of anglophallic media blather in 2007, but if you can't handle the hype, bide your time until the HBO release with any one of a half-dozen other of Law's infidelity flicks.
