BOOT STRAPPED Crawford kitsch Before George W. Bush showed up in 1999, Crawford was just a podunk Texas town whose tourism industry pulled in a paltry $813,000 a year. Five years and two wars later, revenues had jumped to $2.66 million. We're talking Dubya-themed everything, from coffee mugs to shit-kickers to denim shorts emblazoned with the "Western White House" logo.

But as Bush's approval rating goes, so goes Crawford, reports MSNBC. After an initial revenue drop in 2005, numbers plummeted even further in 2006. (As of today, there's just one very lonely "Bush in Crawford" bobblehead doll languishing on eBay. Current bid: $9.99).
