St. Louis, MO, is the location this evening for what many are calling the most highly anticipated vice-presidential debates in our nation's history. Not since Vice President George H.W. Bush kicked a little ass in his match against Geraldine Ferraro some 24 years ago has the potential for carnage been higher. Both candidates desperately need to do well this evening: Sarah Palin has to reassure voters that she isn't actually someone so dense that she give her own children unusual names because they'd be easier to remember. Joe Biden doesn't want to go down in history as "the guy who actually lost a debate to Sarah Palin." But only one victor will emerge. Let's examine the strategies the candidates should employ as they make their case to the American people.
