All Hail Titus Rellie

NOM VIVANTS Rellie, Sykes Congratulations to snazzy New York society starlings Lucy Sykes and Euan Rellie: You have successfully raised the bar on wedgie-baiting baby names.
And here we were thinking you'd never be able to top yourselves after christening your firstborn Heathcliff Felix Alastair Rellie. Titus Jasper Jake Icarus Rellie not only carries more fabulously upper-crusty connotations, it's also loaded with gravitas!
To wit: The historical Titus was the Roman emperor who died of malaria (or poisoning) after two years on the throne. He's best known to history for crushing the Jewish Rebellion of 70 A.D. Many also know the name from Titus Andronicus, Shakespeare's first and bloodiest tragedy, in which the title character kills his own daughter for the crime of being raped; kills the rapists and feeds them, in a pie, to their mother; kills the mother; and, finally, is himself killed.
And then, of course, there's Icarus, the figure from Greek mythology who died after flying too close to the sun. (Really, what better way to reinforce the message that striving is so petit bourgeois?) But seriously, folks. We kid. The Rellie brothers will certainly make good copy come 2027.
