While outsiders may be surprised by the recent arrest of Al Gore III in southern California on drug possession charges, it was just the latest chapter in a life of misdeeds for the darkest black sheep in recent political history. It wasn't long ago when Gore, now a big wig associate publisher of Good magazine, was just another 13-year-old prep school kid getting ripped off for a two-finger bag of oregano.
For the heir to the Green throne, problems with wacky tabacky date back to his time at the highfalutin St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., which just so happens to be the alma mater of the older Gore. The son was once caught by school officials in the famed Bishop's Garden at the National Cathedral handing over a wad of bills for a bag full of greens that turned out not to be something illicit but rather "just a big bag of oregano," according to a source with firsthand knowledge of the transaction.
