Lying John McCain Turns The Set Of The View Into A Den Of Lies By Lying About His Earlier Lies

At about the 6:40 mark in this interview with John McCain, The View's Joy Behar confronts the Republican nominee about those ads against Barack Obama which pretty much every responsible organization has branded as "lies." McCain breaks down and apologizes, saying he regrets the ads, they were forced on him by an aggressive campaign staff and in a moment of weakness he approved of them, but he knows how wrong they were, and since nothing is more important to him than his honor he will personally guarantee that every advertisement his campaign puts out for the duration of the race will be free of distortions.

Hahahaha, just kidding. He simply says, "They're not lies," and moves on.

Well, he's very clearly and contritely THINKING that first part, which is the important detail you've left out of your distortion.

Why are every one of Barack Obama's old college roommates muslim?

Its very weird, and if Obama isn't a muslim, it appears as if he's got some weird fetish about it, like that tall guy who shows up at all the dwarf conventions.

Google Sohale "Hal" Siddiqi.

Google Imad Husain.

Google Mohammed Hasan Chandoo.

Google Wahid Hamid.

Its very strange this isn't part of the public conversation on Barack Obama.

Posted by: Telebision on September 12, 2008 2:55 PM

it's also strange that you're an obvious propagandist for mccain, telebitchin'.

wouldn't you feel more at home over on michelle malkin's website, other than preaching to the saved that is.

fuck off.

I just want to know how Barack Obama got so many friends named "Google."

karen: better, as usual.

always fun though. good times.

And you're an ostrich sticking your head in the sand Sailor.

Karen, the point is for you to do some independent research of your own on the topic and come to your own conclusions, not be paralyzed be the fear of being politically correct.

Posted by: Telebision on September 12, 2008 3:35 PM

So sailor, are you denying that these guys are muslim, or are you denying that they were Barack Obama's college roommates?

Posted by: Telebision on September 12, 2008 3:40 PM

i'm denying neither assface. the point is that this means absolutely nothing except to you. what is your point here, that he's part of an al qaida sleeper cell?

please, it's friday. don't you have a flag you can go wrap yourself up in?

Posted by: sailor on September 12, 2008 3:51 PM

Are you so incapable of making a logical argument you have to couch your ignorance in profanity and juvenile threats?

The point is that Barack Obama has a huge history of muslim activity long into his adult life, and that he was essentially an Islamophile, surrounding himself with muslim roommates, and simmering in their rhetoric.

At a time when we are under daily threat from Muslim extremists, its foolish to elect a leader who is sympathetic to their views.

Would you let a career lawyer with Big Tobacco be the Surgeon General?

PS, I can always tell a fallen Catholic from a mile away, Sailor.

Posted by: Telebision on September 12, 2008 4:03 PM

Okay, so I decided to do some Googling, because the LGF crowd cracks me up. Wahid Hamid is on the board of directors at Pepsi, what is he doing? Killing us with sugar water? If he really wanted to do damage, wouldn't he just poison the many, many Pepsi products out there? (yes, I do hope you get really paranoid.)

I would think it would be a mistake to elect the foolish, xenophobic, belligerent, or uninformed to our highest office. You are aware that there are Muslim Americans, right? How is it patriotic to slam your fellow citizens for their beliefs? How does one uphold American values by disregarding our Constitution's guarantees of freedom of religion?

Finally, the Surgeon General has to be a doctor.

never was a catholic brain child, thank god for small favors.

and thanks janine for making the effort to actually debunk tb's ludicrous argument.

i've grown tired of mixing it up with morons. yes, another insult (not profanity) because that's what is called for. and i don't remember a threat, but i can always quote my good friend paladin and leave you with this: Have Gun, Will Travel.

Posted by: sailor on September 12, 2008 4:42 PM

So did you also see that Obama lived with convicted cocaine dealer Sohale Siddiqi, while Siddiqi was an illlegal alien?

So when a presidential candidate who claims to have no connection to Islam since his father abandoned him when he was two years old is discovered to have spent his entire graduate career living with a group of Pakistani Muslims its not newsworthy?

Posted by: Telebision on September 12, 2008 4:46 PM

only on record for snorting coke, not being a coke dealer, and now a recovering drug addict who works for a community theater in seattle, according to wikipedia.

any more sleaze to throw our way, douchebag?

Please note Freshman roommate Paul Carpenter, who is now an LA based attorney. I dont think he was cited as Pakistani. Seemed to talk more about his awesome body boarding skills haha.

Article also mentions that another of his roommates was from India. Islam doesnt seem to be really popular, but Buddhism sure is...and Hinduism too. Oh, and Jainism, which Im not too sure what it is, but I sure like the name ;)

I also read that Obama STOPPED living with Siddiqi because his partying was too distracting from Obama's studies.

Oh, and here...for good measure:

Its Friday and everybody's "hunkering down" for the hurricane in Houston, so its a slow work day...Ive got nothing but time haha.

(Ok, bear with me if this posts twice)

Janine, I agree whole heartedly.

thanks to jainypoo and janice for the heavy lifting. have to work together to quench the mccain bs.

How is Barack Obama living with a Muslims as an undergrad have anything to do with John McCain?

These are facts, not MSNBC spin and Wikifiction.

I suppose in your world you just pretend that Barack Obama didn't have four separate Muslim roommates and this is also all racist, xenophobic propaganda.

Do yo ualso pretend Barack Obama didn't support the Luo dictatorship of Kenya's Raila Odinka that resulted in the murder of 250 Christians.

Thanks for that link Jainypoo.

I had no idea that Odinga has claimed he was related to Obama.

That's something a free press should be asking the candidate about at least once.

Raila Odinga, who was jailed for eight years beginning in 1982 for protesting the one-party rule of Kenya's then-dictator, Daniel Arap Moi) has claimed to be a cousin of Illinois Senator Barack Obama (maintaining that Obama's father was his maternal uncle).

There's even a picture of Obama and Odinga campaigning together.

All hard-core fundamentalist Muslims do drugs. It's true.

Posted by: Janine MCargo on September 12, 2008 6:03 PM

Listen to 1:14 of the following interview with Odinga.

He clearly says that Barack Obama, Sr. was his uncle.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_7170000/newsid_7177400/7177463.stm?bw=bb&mp=wm&asb=1&news=1&bbcws=1

So is the BBC lying?

Is the Odinga, the Prime Minister of Kenya lying?

What he says at 1:14 of that link is crystal clear.

I live with my husband and my son, and I am still a woman.

I live in a neighborhood with many gay women. I remain heterosexual.

A WASP (white anglo saxon Protestant) who teaches adult students from all over the world, I keep their holidays, respect their customs and culture, and honor their beliefs. Yet I am still a WASP

Strong association from people of other backgrounds gives me greater understanding and a more universal knowledge. I learn and grow every day.

I am capable of learning about others and maintaining my own belief system.

Oh, yeah, I even have several friends who support McCain-Palin.

I will vote for Obama.

JANINE!

Where did you get your degree?

Do you really think that you find true facts by "googling". No wonder the rest of the world think americans are idiots.

Posted by: MissL on September 13, 2008 1:52 PM

Look, there were many phrases Obama could have chosen to make his point. He chose that one. Days after the famous comment by Gov. Palin at the convention. It was clear how his supports interpreted his comment from their reaction (which was disproportionate to their reaction to other comments he made with similar meanings). Intentional or not, it was clear the connotatin the comment carried. The comment was made BY HIM, not by someone in the audience. Yet he chose to whine and shift blame, rather than to take responsibility. THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES. It also speaks volumes that he believes the American public in general is so stupid they would not pick up on what he did. This is just another instance of his elitist, superior attitude slipping thru. While I agree that issues should be the focus, the game Obama is playing by pretending that is what HE wants and then pulling stunts like this sickens me. It sends out a message to Amercia, including Amercian youths, that there is no need to take responsibility for your actions. Just blame it on someone else. Spare me.

Posted by: pawprints on September 14, 2008 4:36 PM

How is Obama seen as elitist compared to McCain and Palin? Really??
And from where I stand intelligent people have assumed he didn't mean Palin was a pig in lipstick. Especially compared to the fact that he takes the high road more often than M/P. Even so, Palin is a horrible horrible person. Is there a name for that?

And omg, people of Muslim faith! Around! Go crawl back into your straw house, strawman.

Fibber McGee and Molly challenged the relevance of the fourth estate as moral arbiters in an Internet information age. Man, I do not think they wanted to go there. You just do not challenge someone with an endless supply of ink. First the View and then SNL reminded the press of its responsibilty to the people.
