< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence I Love Money: Toastee and Punkin Take a Bite Out of Nibblz
AN ABIDING FONDNESS FOR LUCRE Money Lovers This week, the show began by each team picking new captains to lead them through their first team challenge. The Gold team chose rock-em, sock-em cowgirl Rodeo and the Green team eventually chose nice girl Destiney after Chance relinquished the title, claiming too much team bickering. The two teams then learned they'd be facing off in Bed Battles, similar to the Joust on American Gladiators and based on the fight between Safari and H-Town during season two of Flavor of Love. Suspended above a body of water on a bed held by cables, competitors were given jousting sticks to try and knock each other off. The rules were simple: Don't hold on to the cables, don't lose your stick and don't fall. After the surprisingly fierce competition (what some may lack in brains they make up for in brawn - see Heat, Whiteboy, Entertainer and 12-Pack, specifically) the Green team was victorious when its puniest male member, Mr. Boston, beat the Gold team's physically-superior female Nibblz. But not before Chance took a potshot at her looks, calling her a "a GI Jane/Predator-looking, slash all-type-of wildebeest," in the night's funniest line. Needing to put three players on the chopping block, the Gold team chose their three weakest links, Toastee, Punkin and Nibblz. According to the rules, the opposite team's captain, in this case Destiney, would then decide which one of the three was to leave the show. Naturally, the producers sent Destiney out for drinks with the three girls for a "Power Outing," a chance for them to plead their case to her on why they should stay. Prior to the outing, Toastee and Punkin formed an alliance and decided to backstab Nibblz, as Nibblz outed Toastee as a porn star during Flavor of Love and got her kicked off the show. As Arthur Schopenhauer so eloquently noted*, "Payback is indeed a bitch." Punkin and Toastee argued that keeping them—the physically weakest competitors of the three—would be in Destiney's best interest, and topped off their arguments by faking an ankle injury (Toastee) and claiming an eating disorder (Punkin.) Nibblz, though wise to the game, could do nothing against the tag team. Sure enough, at elimination later that night, Destiney took the bait and sent Nibblz packing back to her real life as a dominatrix with a pretty severe lisp. Nibblz said she was proud of her "courage" on the show and left with her wildebeest head high. *In Die beiden Grundprobleme der Ethik. Towards the end. Wait, don't you mean Saaphyri and H-Town got in a fight? ooooh, she is so coming down there from 54th and Crenshaw! Posted by: Quasian on July 14, 2008 2:39 PM Advertisement |
