Cynthia Rodriguez is On Her Way to Becoming Very, Very Rich

The Smoking Gun has procured Cynthia Rodriguez's long-expected divorce filing, and its contents are what you'd expect: reference to husband Alex Rodriguez's "extra marital affairs and other marital misconduct" and the fact that the stripper-loving Yankee "emotionally abandoned his wife"; no specific reference to Madonna, his rumored lover.

Madonna today issued her first public denial of the affair, claiming that she only knows Rodriguez through their mutual manager Guy Oseary and is "not romantically involved" with him in any way, though one of Cynthia Rodriguez's lawyers told the Post that A-Rod's "relationship with Madonna was the latest situation in a series of events" that doomed the marriage. (The first situation presumably occurred last May, when her husband's face was plastered all over the tabloids after he was busted carrying around Toronto with a buxom Scores stripper.)

Cynthia has herself been the subject of a rumors that she shacked up with Lenny Kravitz in Paris, but it appears now that she simply visited the singer to escape the media crush here in Manhattan. (A-Rod supposedly approved of the trip.)

Rodriguez, who is making $28 million this year (not including endorsements!), is the highest-paid player in baseball, though he probably wishes he weren't right about now. Per Cynthia's lawyers: "The Husband is a prominent athlete and has, due to his substantial earning power, provided the parties and their children with a lavish lifestyle.... The Husband has the fiscal capacity to continue his high style of living, but the Wife does not." Needless to say, she's asking for half of everything.

Madonna's state tax liens, Alex Rodriguez's tax liens, Dennis Rodman's federal tax liens and Kravitz's corporations
