Supreme Court Cool With Guns

heston_gun.jpg
HE CAN STILL HOLD ON TO IT Gun Nut
In one of the final rulings of the term, the United States Supreme Court has affirmed in District of Columbia v. Heller "that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to have a gun, at least in one's home. The Court, splitting 5-4, struck down a District of Columbia ban on handgun possession."

More: The majority opinion, written by Justice Antonin Scalia, does not invalidate "long-standing bans on gun possession by felons or the mentally retarded, or laws barring guns from schools or government buildings, or laws putting conditions on gun sales." [Scotusblog]

I have the most pronounced Pavlovian hiss-and-claw reaction every time I read the words "The majority opinion, written by Justice Antonin Scalia"

All those gun nuts need to be lined up and shot! (Note to FBI: Not to be taken seriously.)
