New York Ranger player-cum-Vogue intern Sean Avery has finished his month-long run with editrix Anna Wintour's glossy ship, and with it his stint as guest editor at mensvogue.com. At first, the blogging part of his editorship was an inadvertently comedic goldmine (his fellow players are "narrow-minded blockheads," and taunters will get their "asses kicked by a very expensive pair of shoes"—that match his accompanying belt and shirt, natch). But phantom tweaks to his later posts and photo captions transformed his writing into something almost passably Vogue. Then there's the case of the photos themselves, the nude-y ones that suspiciously went missing earlier today.

While he spent the summer quietly folding YSL and assisting on photo shoots, Sean still managed to find time to build on his image as the most hated man in hockey—primarily for a slideshow featuring a collection of shirtless photos of him standing awkwardly in the fashion closet. Apparently, they were odd by everyone's standard. They quickly disappeared, and were replaced with less hilarious ones of Avery lounging in a cubicle. Of course, according to Vogue's PR rep, they've "been posting a new slideshow of photos each day this week so that each day readers can check out new photos."
