Cancer on the Lido Deck: Something's Fishy on the S.S. Scientology

Our astute commenters, some affiliated with Scientologist agitators Anonymous and folks from Enturbation.org, are all over the church spokesperson's claim that the Freewinds is going to be ready in time for a May 8 CCHR cruise, as scheduled. In what seems to be a recording of a call to the booking number for the cruise, an operator tells the Anonymous caller that the trip has been delayed due to the ongoing work being done on the boat. It's dry docked, in fact, says the operator, just a week before the scheduled departure. That's a far cry from, "The Freewinds will be completing its refit on schedule," which a Scientology spokeswoman claimed in an earlier e-mail to Radar.

Cancer on the Lido Deck: Scientology Cruise Ship Rife with Asbestos?

So you have a Cruise ship of Doom laden with asbestos, you know about it, yet FAIL to do anything about it and let how many of the faithful sail on it? That's what I call cold cynical money grabbing.

To anyone just waking up to the whole scientology debacle...this calculating and dismissive response by scientology to the urgent potential health concern for anyone spending time on that boat is, unfortunately, just one more example of the cult's long list of nasty, dirty tricks, IMHO. Google exscientologykids to learn what it was like for some young people to grow up within the cult.

To Karin Pouw and the organization of scientology- Happy downstat staturday folks!

(scientology measures all their so-called "successes" each Thursday @ 2:00 pm each day, world-wide. When negative publicity occurs just prior to that time, cult members must work feverishly to attempt to counteract it, so they can still report "upstat" for the week. It appears this is going to be a VERY DOWNSTAT Thursday for the sciguys)
