Good news for Republicans: Michael Moore has announced his endorsement of Barack Obama. Writing on his website, the blustery filmmaker—whose full-throated support for John Kerry proved invaluable in a race that Kerry was a 3 million vote-hairsbreadth away from winning—urges the people of Pennsylvania to turn out for the Illinois senator, noting helpfully that "My endorsement is more for Obama The Movement than it is for Obama the candidate." But that's not all! Moore brings history into it:

Pennsylvania, the state that gave birth to this great country, has a chance to set things right. It has not had a moment to shine like this since 1787 when our Constitution was written there. In that Constitution, they wrote that a black man or woman was only "three fifths" human. On Tuesday, the good people of Pennsylvania have a chance for redemption.

Hear that, Keystone Staters? Vote for Obama to expiate the sins of your forefathers. Otherwise you're just as racist as they were.
