'Anonymous' v. Scientology: the Art of the Score

Say what you will about "Anonymous", the loosely-knit Internet collective hell-bent on destroying the good name of Scientologists far and wide, but one thing is for certain: dudes know how to score their viral web propaganda with a killer soundtrack.

The above montage, which attempts to raise awareness for a series of anti-L. Ron Hubbard protests slated to take place this Saturday, is no exception. The drumline, combined with the eerie background moaning and snippets of often-nonsensical, computer-generated voices, no doubt sends YouTube-surfing church disciples into paroxysms of fear at the mere click of a button. We also rather like "Cult Fiction," the clever reworking of the famous John Travolta Pulp Fiction movie poster, which pops up at the 1:40 mark. Beware the Ides of March! Or at least a group of web-savvy rabble-rousers with way too much time on their hands.

Comments

Protest today, Ides of March, at your local Church of $cientology. This cult has had its time.

About time. Scientology is a mafia organization. Criticize Scientology and they pay you a visit.
