Scientologist Finds the Funny in Getting Run Over by a Bus

The above video is long, but completely worth the eight-minute investment. A member of "Anonymous", an Internet-savvy group of Scientology protesters, calls up a spokeswoman at a Scientology center in Columbus, Ohio, and talks to her about his attempts to visit the Church for "Sunday Service." He eventually gets her to admit that the story of "Xenu", as detailed by L. Ron Hubbard in "Operating Thetan Level III" is "a little bit wacky"; that "Anonymous" consists mostly of "college kids" who do "weird things;" and that she finds it absolutely hiiiilarious that a few Scientology protesters were hit by a bus on the picket line outside the Church center.

The caller then proceeds to tell the spokeswoman that he was, in fact, one of those individuals who was hit by the bus, at which point she backtracks and says she felt so bad she called the hospital, and that five of her guys "were actually gonna go out and, uh, help ... but, you know, uh, yeah, uh, you know ... the ambulance, uh."

Tom Cruise, for one, would no doubt disapprove. After all, aren't Scientologists the only ones who can do anything at the scene of an accident?

When I first heard this tape, just after the day of protest, I was shocked by the staff member's reaction to the protester being hit by the bus. Now that I've listened to it again, I cannot help but see the irony in how she proves that she selectively chose to not help the injured -which is the complete opposite of what Tom Cruise said a scientologistis supposed to do when there is an accident. The difference is that the victims were opponients - fair game opponients. It is disturbing to see and hear this because is shows what scientologists are really about . Truth be told, the hypocracy is exposed in this tape. Thanks for reporting this.

To the staff member at OSA who eventually has to 'handle' this thread:

I'd like to ask you how much sleep you've had lately? How much food. Is this what you joined Scientology for to do? Think about it, please...?

You know, as busy as OSA must be at the moment, they probably won't notice if you called someone. Your parents? Old friends? If you ever wanted to leave, wouldn't it be nice to know you could? You don't have to leave now. If fact, staying when you know you could leave just proves how dedicated you are.

Think about it. Please. You'll never get a better opportunity than this in the foreseeable future.

To Anonymous: remember Operation Reconnect, and what it's about.
