Racketeering, RICO, Wire Fraud Claims in Britney Case

SMALLspears_022008_FRESH.jpg
Another gem from Michael Sands, who's neck deep in the Britney Spears legal circus—in addition representing Sam Lutfi, he is also the mouthpiece for lawyer Jon Eardly, who wants to make a federal case out of the Spears conservatorship (a judge kicked a motion back to him today). Sands tells Radar that documents are being filed in federal court by the close of business today that will allege RICO act violations, racketeering, and wire fraud in the Spears case. The allegations have to do with missing money in the embattled pop stars rapidly dwindling coffers. Details coming as they're confirmed ...

UPDATE: While Sands still insists the new papers are being filed, they likely won't be filed until the end of the month. Stay tuned.
