I agree when you say he has insane fans, I have no idea why this happened to him, but it is just a real shame, because he is very, very talented. I have no interest in his personal life, I don't need him to turn me on. I just know a fantastic voice and talent when I hear it and see it and this is not right. And it is a few insane , idiotic fans that have caused it. Please, will you at least be fair and listen to his two independent albums and other pre AI music. I've been a Taylor fan (of sorts) since his audition on AI. I love jazz and blues and his audition really impressed me. Can't say the same thing about several of his performances on the show though. Since then I've seen in him concert a couple times and bought his TH CD (a disappointment for the most part). I still consider myself a "fan" more or less, and I couldn't care less about this ridiculous girlfriend situation. But I do agree whole-heartedly with the notion that some (not all) but some of Taylor's fans are indeed crazy. If you dare post one negative word about him on a Taylor site (or any site for that matter), you're attacked as a negative hater.

Take for example Taylor's official "HQ" site. The one that cost 25 bucks to join. Someone posted this Radar blog over there. The mods yanked it almost immediately, but not before a few people ranted and raged about the "traitor" and "troll" who dared to post such "garbage" on their peaceful, serene (read: deluded) site. Come on, people! Don't you want to be made aware of the good and the bad that's being said about Taylor? Know what you're up against. Don't keep your head in the sand, pretending the bad press out there doesn't exist or that it's only Taylor-hater-morons spouting it out. Look at it. Address it. Deal with it.

Do you wonder why the Taylor fan sites are drying up? Wonder why there's never more than a couple dozen people online at any given time even on the most active Taylor sites? I'm not a kook or an fat horny middle aged mama but I admit I saw something appealing in Hicks on Idol. A friend got tickets to see him at The Beacon in NYC and he and the band rocked. it was an awesome show and I couldn't stay in my seat.
