Blackwell Crowns Posh Worst Dressed

The always amusing Mr. Blackwell's list of the worst dressed celebrities is out, and the winner of its dubious first place title is Posh Spice, whom he decried along with her reunited bandmates as ""the only spices on the planet that have no taste."

Though Beckham has indeed had her fair share of red carpet blunders, anointing her as the worst dressed female celebrity of the year may well be read as a slap across the fashion industry's face. After all, in '07 Posh styled friend Katie Holmes for Harper's Bazaar, launched yet another fashion line at Harrod's, and was named the new face of Marc Jacobs' spring ad campaigns. This month she graces the cover of Elle magazine.

The balance of Blackwell's bottom 10 was made up with tabloid staples like Amy Winehouse, Lindsay Lohan, and Mary-Kate Olsen, whom he described poignantly as "a tattered toothpick-trapped in a hurricane." He did have the heart to spare one of the most obvious choices for 2007, Britney Spears, explaining: "I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval. I hope 2008 is a better year for her."

Blackwell also had uncharacteristically kind words for Katie Holmes, princess-in-training Kate Middleton, and Reese Witherspoon, who graced his "Fabulous Fashion Independents" list.

New face of Marc Jacobs? Whenever I see her face I just want to slap it.
